Because we think that recording contents is only one part of the podcasting process we decided to propose a complete solution which allows our users to upload, manage and share their multimedia contents very easily. That's why we created the Mediacenter extensions for some of the most popular Open Source Learning Management Systems (Moodle, Claroline, Dokeos,...) and Content Management Systems (Joomla,...).

Based on open web technologies

Inwicast was mainly built on open technologies so that our users can easily customize it or add new features:

• Our Mediacenter server-side extensions are available in open source GPL licence
• The Flash video player that we use is the popular JWPlayer which is skinnable and can be extended through plugins.
• Playlist are stored in RSS formats compatible with Web aggregators (iGoogle, Netvibes,...) or iTunes.
